as many friends and colleagues want to know, was taken from the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by the legendary Alexandre Dumas, pere. . . the Italian Abbe who saved the life of the Count (Edmond Dantes) and taught him all the sciences and the languages of their time in Chateau d'If where they were kept as political prisoners for 17 years in the Napoleon era
